The LAWR weather radar, developed by DHI is now installed in two places in Denmark, Hørsholm (at the head office) and in Aarhus (at the department of Monitoring and Information Technology (MIT)).
Each radar has a range (radius) of 60 km, and shows the actual rainfall in the area. The pixel size is 500 by 500 m. The radar images, updated every 5 minutes, can be found at www.regn.dk .
The Danish Meteorological Institute has just ordered one for installation in Odense, Denmark, as a supplement to their four conventional weather radar's.
