Advanced modelling software freely available to CPWF partners
Are you interested in using advanced, yet user-friendly models in your CPWF project?
The projects in the CPWF are now gradually going into the implementation phase. Project plans are crystallising and specific tools are being developed. As a catalyst and a support in the field of technical assessments of water resources and environmental impacts, CPWF offers to all CPWF partners, through a formal agreement with DHI Water & Environment, free access to advanced modelling software.
The tools available are dynamic, integrated hydrological models, meaning that they address the complexity of water occurrence in time and space in catchments, associated environmental processes, such as soil and water contamination, erosion, sediment transport, as well as human impacts on water resources from reservoir construction, irrigation and urban settlements.
DHI Water & Environment is an independent, international consulting and research organization, with its main branch located in Denmark. The consulting services are based on the development and application of research and advanced technologies within water resources, ecology, environmental chemistry, hydraulic structures and hydrodynamics and other areas related to the water environment.
DHI’s computer simulation software packages have reached a prominent place in most of the world and are used by a large number of researchers, consulting engineers, public utilities and authorities for simulation of numerous aspects of water resources and environmental issues.
For further information on the models and how to get access to them, go to the homepage of CPWF or contact DHI directly.
